[Results may vary] Dual Toning

Dual Toning, what makes it special?

Here's an explanation of the Dual Toning procedure.

Combining Laser Toning and Genesis does not mean that everyone receives the same treatment.

We strive to design treatments optimized for each individual's skin condition,

aiming for more precise and satisfying results.

It's not simply about the number of laser shots or the name of the device,

but rather a deep analysis of various complex factors such as pigment location, skin reaction, elasticity, redness, and pores.

Based on this, the direction of each treatment is determined according to 5 detailed design criteria.

① Pigment Type: Skin primarily concerned with melasma, blemishes, and epidermal pigmentation

This refers to cases where melanin pigment is heavily distributed in the epidermal layer of the skin,

which may require a treatment focused on improving hyperpigmentation, primarily with laser toning.

The focus is on achieving a clear and radiant skin tone.

② Combination Type: Skin with both melasma and redness

This is a condition where dermal pigmentation and vascular redness are observed simultaneously,

making it important to gradually stimulate a wide area with lower output rather than strong irritation, to induce a reaction.

This can be considered by those with sensitive skin or those who haven't seen significant results from previous treatments.

③ Redness Type: Skin with prominent redness around the cheeks and nose

This is characterized by telangiectasia, a sensation of heat, and sensitive redness.

By repeatedly applying Genesis laser at a relatively high output,

it can help stabilize blood vessels and aid in skin barrier recovery.

④ Fine Wrinkle Type: Thin, dry skin with many fine wrinkles

This type shows rough skin texture and reduced elasticity due to lack of moisture.

By deeply and broadly overlapping Genesis laser application,

the treatment aims to induce collagen production in the dermis and improve skin texture.

⑤ Pore Type: Skin concerned with acne scars and enlarged pores

Often, this involves reduced elasticity around pores or accompanying traces from acne.

Improvement can be expected by inducing skin remodeling through deep thermal stimulation.

*What makes Dual Toning treatment special?

Dual Toning treatment

does not simply mean a combined treatment 'using two lasers together'.

1. Depth and distribution of pigment

2. Skin type sensitivity and regenerative capacity

3. Additional problem factors such as reduced elasticity, redness, and enlarged pores

By meticulously considering all these factors,

the laser's wavelength, output, handpiece used, and even the number of shots are customized for each individual.

A treatment design meticulously planned to match an individual's skin

can be described as a key difference in the approach of Dual Toning treatment.

Cases where treatment may be considered

  • This may be suitable for those who found it difficult to achieve satisfactory pore or skin texture improvement with toning treatments alone.
  • It can be beneficial for those expecting skin improvement effects with a small number of treatment sessions.
  • This is a worthwhile option to consider for those who are highly concerned about deep melasma and hyperpigmentation.

Treatment Process

  • STEP 01. Cleansing
  • STEP 02. 1:1 Customized Consultation, Design, and Treatment

───────────────

Precautions After Treatment

  • ㆍCleansing and makeup are possible from the day of the procedure. It is recommended to pay attention to UV protection.
  • ㆍFor temporarily irritated skin, we recommend focusing on soothing and moisturizing care.
  • ㆍSwelling or redness may appear after the procedure, and most of these symptoms will naturally subside over time. If symptoms persist for several days or you have concerns, please visit us again for a consultation.

What is melasma, and how is it different from general blemishes?

Melasma is not merely a problem where excessive melanin pigment is produced and remains in the skin.

Melanocytes, pigment cells located in the deeper layers of the skin, become excessively activated.

The melanin produced by these cells repeatedly spreads over a wide area,

penetrating deep into the dermis and persisting for a long time as a complex form of hyperpigmentation.

External stimuli, particularly UV radiation and hormonal changes, can be major causes of melanocyte activation.

During this process, subtle inflammatory reactions and vascular factors within the skin also play a complex role.

Melasma is characterized not by simple spot-like lesions, but by a pattern of ill-defined borders and widespread diffusion.

From a histological perspective, the number of melanocytes is generally within the normal range;

however, the cell size increases, and the dendritic processes, which transfer melanin to surrounding cells, tend to significantly proliferate.

This can lead to more extensive and wider transfer of melanin to surrounding skin cells.

Additionally, in some patients, the affected areas of melasma may be accompanied by subtle capillary dilation or redness.

In such cases, it may be classified and described as vascular melasma.

Melasma is less of a disease in itself and more of a result of the skin reacting easily to various stimuli.

In other words, it can be understood as a complex phenomenon that occurs due to various external stimuli when the skin is in a structurally unstable state.

Therefore, beyond simple pigment removal, an approach that considers both the root causes of melasma and the improvement of skin structure is crucial.

While dual toning may be necessary for general pigment disorders, for melasma in particular, dual toning can be considered an even more important approach than conventional toning methods.

Q&A

Q&A

고객님들이 가장 많이 물어보시는 내용을 모았습니다.

What are the recommended number of sessions or frequency?

QnA

Generally, we recommend 10 or more sessions at 1-2 week intervals, but the appropriate number and frequency may vary depending on individual skin condition and pigmentation levels, so it's best to consult with a specialist before deciding.

How much pain is involved during the procedure?

QnA

You may feel a stinging sensation during the procedure, but the pain is not severe, so most people can comfortably undergo the treatment without separate anesthesia.
