What is New Skin Needle (Subcision)?

Scars are subject to a pulling force from within the skin.

While they appear indented on the surface, beneath the dermis there is

a fibrous band (fibrous tether) that strongly pulls the scar area downwards.

To allow the skin to rise back to its original position, these fibrous bands must be separated.

The procedure that severs these structures pulling the scar is called New Skin Needle, or Subcision.

Principle of New Skin Needle Treatment

1. Separation of Adhered Tissue (Release)

The firm fibrous bands embedded within the skin are

delicately severed using a needle or cannula.

This relieves the downward pulling pressure on the skin, allowing the indented scar to rise and fill in.
